Joe Nelson has over 40 years experience in the construction workplace. This includes experience as a supervisor for crafts, project manager, shutdow n planner scheduler, and project services manager, for such companies as Westinghouse Total Engineered Maintenance Co., Lummus, H.B. Zachry Construction, Barnard & Burk, and ENGlobal Engineering. Mr.Nelson has a Bachelors of Science in Education. He has also spent ten years as an instructor for planning and scheduling in the Department of Construction Management at Louisiana State University, and this experience has been most influential in the development of this book.
 
     
  Jude Patin

Jude W.P. Patin, P.E., Brigadier General, U.S. Army, Retired, has over forty-five years of experience as a builder, engineer and administrator of construction projects in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Between 1999 and 2008 he served on the faculty of the Department of Construction Management and Industrial Engineering at Louisiana State University as a Professional-in-Residence. In 2009 he joined the faculty at the University of Texas at San Antonio as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Construction Science and Management, College of Architecture. General Patin has a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Southern University of Louisiana, a B.S. in Construction Management from Louisiana State University, and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Engineer School, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College.

Associate Professor Lawrence Leslie (Les) Rosso, Sr. has been teaching at Louisiana State University in the Department of Construction Management and Industrial Engineering since 1980. He holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. all from LSU. His areas of specialization include residential graphics and plan-reading, estimating, and project administration. Dr. Rosso continues to be involved with the industry, community, and the university by serving on boards, campus-wide committees, community organizations, public outreach, and industry consultation.

Dr. Gerald M. Knapp, P.E.  is an associate professor of industrial engineering and coordinator for both the undergraduate industrial engineering program and the graduate engineering science information technology engineering (ITE) concentration at Louisiana State University. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from SUNY Buffalo, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa. Dr. Knapp is an ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE). Dr. Knapp teaches senior and graduate level courses in database and information systems design, SQL Programming, data mining, .NET web applications development, and semantic analysis.
